Dhai Kilo Prem is an Indian Hindi television drama series which has its premier on April 3, 2017 on Star Plus. The series is produced by Ekta Kapoor under her home production Balaji Telefilms. The series is aired every Monday to Saturday 1 pm in an afternoon slot of Star Plus which is said to be Star Plus Dopahar. The romantic drama casts Meherzan Mazda as Piyush Sharma and Anjali Anand as Deepika as the lead roles. Along with Ekta Kapoor, Sobha Kapoor also has produced the show. Meherzan Mazda was once see in Splitsvilla Season 2 and later in the Sony Serial seven, khotte Sikkey, Nisha aur uske cousins etc. An unusual and cute love story is all to say in ‘Dhai Kilo Prem’ where the love buds in-between two obese persons and fighting against the common perception of being fat and dealing society issues. The story is about how interestingly they find each other and start dating to counter such issues and sharing similar problems. They both seem to have a contradictory approach or thought about their weight and body structure and so the perspective for the life. The series plot is in Agra. The story very well bust the traditional ideology of protagonist or male and female leads expected in a love story. They both have their own way of living the life and approach regarding losing their weight. It is a treat to watch a new spice in a love story where not to see masculine hero and glamourous doll heroine. The series also feature actors like Kiran Karmakar as Piyush’s father, Manasi Joshi as Piyush’s mother, Aly Goni as Shushant and many others.
