Devanshi is an Indian Hindi television drama series which airs Monday to Friday on Colors TV at 6 pm IST. The show is created by Sonali Jaffer and Amir Jaffer under the production banner of Full house Media. The basic idea of the plot is based on the superstitious belief in Hindus which cost much crucial things in one’s life. The stereo typic myth busting serial is also dubbed in Tamil as Devi broadcast on Polimer TV. The basic storyline set into the location of Haryana where a child called out to be as diety or referred as Goddess which snatches the child’s innocence, her childhood and her choices. The girl outwits the overrated beliefs of so-called grownups and challenges the orthodox traditions that are meant to be throw away one’s happiness and freedom. ‘Devanshi’ is as learning as entertaining for all sort of audiences. The serial casts Helly Shah as Devanshi and her alter ego Kalki Shah who is popularly known for serials like Khushiyon kii Gullak Aashi, Swaragini and Jhalak Dikhla Ja. The show also casts Mudit Nayar as Devanshi’s Husband and ‘ Devo Ke dev..Mahadev’ famed Piyush Sahdev as Pawan. Priyanka Khera has been played the younger character of the title role Devanshi. There are two leaps so far in the show, one is of 14 years when Devanshi and her sister Sakshi has grown up and came back to Jwalapuri after leaving the place 14 year ago starting a love triangle between Sakshi, Devanshi and Vardhaan; and another is of 10 months when everyone thinks that Devanshi is dead whereas is impersonating a businesswoman as alter ego Kalki Shah and come back to Jwalapuri to teach lessons to them.
